The Blue Route Returns to Magic Kingdom Area Hotels Walt Disney World
Boat transportation between Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort will return on October 1st, 2023.
Boats operating between these resorts will fly a blue flag to help identify them from boats going to other destinations like the Magic Kingdom.
Blue Route will allow guests to visit nearby resort hotels for dinner, including the popular Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.
Blue Route will start at 3 pm daily.
Did you know there are several water routes servicing the Magic Kingdom Area hotels? Boats fly a solid color flag that helps guests know where the boat will take them. There is a corresponding sign on the boat dock so you don’t have to remember.
They all depart Magic Kingdom from the same general area but watch the signs so you know which boat dock to use.
Magic Kingdom Water Craft Routes
Blue Route - Runs a loop between Disney’s Fort Wilderness, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
Green Route - Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Magic Kingdom.
Red Route - Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Magic Kingdom
Gold Route - Runs between Magic Kingdom, Grand Floridian, and Polynesian. This route runs in the opposite direction of the monorails.
Boats may have special operating hours depending on the time of year. Check with your hotel for times. When boats are not running, alternate transportation will be provided.
Not all boats can accommodate ECVs and wheelchairs. You may have to wait for and ECV-friednly boat to arrive.
Boats arrive every 10-20 minutes.
