Starting Nov. 8, “Disney Very Merriest After Hours” a special-ticketed event will be available on select nights featuring

  • “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks”

  • Holiday treats including ice cream, popcorn and bottled beverages (included with the cost of admission)

  • Disney characters

  • Holiday music and décor

  • Holiday treats

  • Special projections on Cinderella Castle

  • Popular attractions

  • Snow on Main Street USA

Mickey’s Very Merriest After Hours Celebration

It appears this event will replace Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in 2021. Very Merriest After Hours will likely follow a similar format as MVMCP but full details on what we can expect have yet to be released.

Disney Very Merriest After Hours will begin at 9 pm on select nights. Those who have tickets will be able to enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 7 pm.

Throughout out all four theme parks and the Disney World hotels, you can expect festive entertainment, whimsical décor, seasonal food & beverage offerings, and holiday-themed merchandise.

2019 Dates for 'Disney After Hours' at Walt Disney World Resort

If you aren’t familiar with Disney After Hours events, they’re your opportunity to experience a Disney theme park for three hours after regular park hours, with limited attendance, which means little-to-no wait for attractions, experiences and character greetings.  The event ticket also allows you early entry into the park, beginning at 7 p.m. 

New dates for Disney After Hours at Walt Disney World Resort:

  • Magic Kingdom: May 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.

  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom:  May 7, 14 and 21; and June 4, 11 and 18.

  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: May 1, 4, 10, 17, 24 and 31; and June 14, 21 and 28.

And at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there are two special celebration nights:

May 1 – Celebrate Disney’s Hollywood Studios 30th anniversary with special anniversary merchandise, additional character greetings and more food & beverage offerings to purchase.

May 4 – Celebrate May the Fourth dressed in your best galactic Star Wars attire.  Experience Character Encounters including Chewbacca with REY, Darth Vadar, Kylo Ren with CAPTAIN PHASMA, Ewoks, Jawas and imperial stormtroopers. Plus, specialty treats available for purchase. *Be sure your costume fits within park guidelines.

Disney After Hours Events Return for Spring 2018

Cinderella Castle  | Magic Kingdom Park

Magic Kingdom Park is once again hosting Disney After Hours events on select nights through March. Available to a limited number of Guests, Disney After Hours allows participants to maximize their time in the park with quicker access to over 25 popular attractions and character greetings. Remaining event dates include Jan. 26, 30, Feb. 8, 15, March 1 and 8, 2018.

New Details on Magic Kingdom After Hours 2017!

Magic Kingdom After Hours Returns for 2017

Disney After Hours events are limited to a small number of Guests, allowing you experience 25 attractions with little to no wait. Some attractions include Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, Space Mountain (my personal favorite) and many more. The cost is $126.74 (tax included) per person. There is no child rate. 

The Disney After Hours ticket allows park entry as early as 7 p.m., which gives you time to enjoy “Wishesfireworks, and then remain in the park for three hours past the park’s scheduled closing time. In addition, ice cream novelties and select beverages are included in admission.

Disney After Hours event nights are currently set for Jan. 20 and 27, February 2, 9 and 16, and March 2 and 9, 2017. (Please note that Disney After Hours does not replace Extra Magic Hours (EMH) for Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests and are instead held on non-EMH dates).
