Raise a Glass! The Beak and Barrel Pirate Tavern Opens at Magic Kingdom
Step inside The Beak and Barrel, a brand-new pirate tavern at Magic Kingdom, featuring immersive storytelling, themed cocktails, small bites, and plenty of Disney magic.
I still remember the days when you couldnât even get a drink at Walt Disney Worldâhow times have changed!
Now, Iâm raising a glass to The Beak and Barrel, a swashbuckling âPirates of the Caribbeanâ-themed tavern officially opened at Magic Kingdom Park as of August 29, 2025.
This lively spot is perfect for adventurers of all ages, with a rich backstory, immersive dÊcor, and an incredible lineup of drinks, snacks, and surprises that truly capture the pirateâs life.
From the moment I stepped inside, I felt like Iâd been transported straight into a scene from the iconic ride.
The tavern is packed with treasure-worthy details in every corner, from the Mess Hall with its pirate-crafted chandelier and mysterious Mermaid Windows, to the Cursed Bar, complete with a towering skull centerpiece and an Enchanted Rum Bottle said to never run dry.
I loved wandering into the Captainsâ Quarters, where slashed paintings and miniature ships in glass bottles come alive, and peeking into the Mapmakerâs Room, overflowing with charts, scrolls, and pirate secrets.
Itâs part dining spot, part storytelling adventure, and 100% Disney magic.
Of course, the drinks and bites are just as adventurous as the dÊcor! I couldnât resist trying the Salty Seas mARRRgarita, a striking purple cocktail with Southeast Asian flavors, and the Sirenâs Whisper, a rum-based creation inspired by the Fountain of Youth.
Foodies will love the Krakenâs Catch, a bold seafood salad, and the cheesy, chili-packed Cookâs Corn Griddle Cakes.
For those who prefer non-alcoholic sips, the Treasure Trove and Cursed Treasure are just as imaginative, while beer lovers will appreciate the exclusive draft offerings like Pirateâs Paradise Blonde Ale and Berried Treasure Session Sour.
And because no pirate adventure is complete without loot, I had to grab the Plundererâs Punchâserved in a souvenir skull mugâand check out the special Beak and Barrel merchandise at Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar.

How to Use Disney's Dining Reservation Search Feature | Walt Disney World
New dining reservation features for Walt Disney World Resort
Thereâs a new feature that will help you when making dining reservations for Walt Disney World restaurants. You can now view availability for breakfast, lunch, and dinner all at once.
Prior to this change, you would have to start a new search if you wanted to check a different meal time.
How is this helpful? Letâs say you want to have dinner at Chef Mickeyâs Character Restaurant at Disneyâs Contemporary Resort, but youâre not seeing availability.
At this point, youâre open to going to breakfast.
On the old system, you would have to start your search over if you wanted to check breakfast availability.
Now, you can see all available meal times on one screen, without having to restart your search.
Hereâs how to use the dining reservation feature:
First, itâs important to know that this feature only unlocks when you search for the restaurant by name. If you use the general âCheck Dining Availabilityâ link in the app, this will not work.
In the Disney World mobile app or website, you will need to search for the restaurant using the magnifying glass.
Click on the restaurant in the search results.
Enter the number of diners in your party
Select your date
Youâll now see all available reservations for that restaurant.
Dining reservations become available 60 days in advance, at 6 a.m. ET online.
Disney World has also announced that guests will soon be able to see restaurant availability for up to 10 days, all on a single search.
This will help guests who booked a Disney World vacation package because they have the added benefit of booking dining reservations for the length of their stay, up to 10 days.
